Calm as Liberians go to the Poll

Monrovia is calm, sunny as Liberians go to the polls today to elect a president and 73 House of Representatives members.

Polling stations across the country  opened at 8 a.m. local time (9 a.m. Nigeria time).

There is no restriction of movements, but few vehicles are on the road.

Voter turnout large judging by queues at polling stations.

Electoral officials and materials arrived at some of the stations visited by us way before commencement of voting.
