Drake was the big winner at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards. In fact, the rapper took home 13 awards, making him the artist with the most in a single year, beating Adele‘s record of 12.
Nigerian Afro pop singer, Ayo Balogun, better known as Wizkid clinched three awards at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards held on Sunday at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Wizkid received seven nominations in this year’s event, to be the first Nigerian to achieve such a feat. The ‘Ojuelegba’ crooner won three from the nominations.
He won in the “Top Hot 100 song”, “Top R&B song” and “Top R&B Collaboration”.
