APC clears all National Assembly seats in Kwara

The All Progressives Congress, APC, has won all the three Senatorial districts and six House of Representatives seats in Kwara State.

Announcing the results, the Resident Electoral Commissioner Dr. Emmanuel Onucheyo said Muhammad Shaba Lafiagi of the APC scored 87,435 to defeat his main rival, Yahayah Yinusa of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who got 39,641 votes.

Dr. Onucheyo stated that Dr. Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim of the All Progressives Congress won the Kwara South seat scoring a total of 73,329 to beat Mr. Ashiru Yisa Oyelola of the PDP who got 50,348 votes.

 The REC announced that the incumbent Senator representing Kwara Central Senatorial seat at the National Assembly, Senator Bukola Saraki of the APC retained the seat with a total votes of 118,879 to defeat Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq of the PDP who pulled 66,864 votes.

Dr. Onucheyo announced that Rasaq Atunwa of the APC won the Ilorin West/Asa Federal Constituency with a total vote of 58,227 to defeat Sherif Shagaya of the PDP who got 31,469.

The Electoral Commissioner disclosed that the Ilorin South and East Federal Constituency was won by Dr. Abubakar Kannike of the APC with a total of 48, 255 votes to defeat his PDP rival, Tunde Akanbi who got a total vote of 27, 598.

Dr. Onucheyo announced that Mr. Olayonu Tope of the APC scored 49,815 votes to beat Mr. Tajudeen Olabisi Abioye of the PDP who scored 21,903 in the House of Representatives seat of the Ifelodun, Offa, Oyun Federal Constituency.

Muhammed Zakari of the APC got 32,505 votes to win Abubakar Abdullahi of the PDP who pulled a total vote of 12,356 inBaruteen/Kaiama Federal Constituency.

Aliyu Ahman-Patigi of the APC got 50,900 votes, winning Ibrahim Abdullahi of the PDP who got 24,886 to occupy Patigi, Edu, Moro Federal Constituency.

Dr. Onucheyo added that Princess Olufunke Adedoyin of the APC clinched the Ekiti, Irepodun, Isin, Oke-Ero seats with 26,758 votes to beat the PDP candidate, Mr. Richard Babatunde Olushola who got 23,123 votes.
