Breaking: President Buhari arrives Nigeria

After 51 days of medical vacation in London, president Muhammadu Buhari has finally returned to Nigeria. The president’s plane landed at the international airport kadunna at about 7:40am this morning where he was received by the deputy governor of kaduna state, Barnabas Yusuf Bala and other official dignitaries at the VIP Wing of the 401 Flying Training School of the Nigerian Air Force, Kaduna.

Special adviser to the president on media and publicity, Femi Adesina had yesterday announced the return of the president but was not specific the exact time his plane will be landing. There were unconfirmed rumors of the president landing at about 4a.m.

The president had on the 19th of January traveled to London for a medical vacation and was scheduled to return back on the 6th of February.

However, a day to his resumption, he requested for an extension of his holiday, following the recommendation of his doctors that he wait for further tests and rest, NAN reports.

According to Adesina, President Buhari expressed appreciation to teeming Nigerians from across the country, and beyond, who had prayed fervently for him, and also sent him their good wishes.
