The All Progressives Congress (APC) on Monday held its presidential campaign in Niger State, as the party begins its campaign in the northern part of Nigeria.

The presidential candidate of the party and a former military president, General Muhammadu Buhari, also visited a former military Head of State, General Ibrahim Babangida, IBB, apparently to seek his support, as the APC tries to take hold of the government at the centre.

Verge Of Change

General Buhari said that the APC would commence a salvation crusade in Niger State, saying that the calibre of people in the APC in the state was a testimony.

He thanked General Babangida for the support and camaraderie he had enjoyed over the years and assured him that Nigeria was on the verge of change.

The APC presidential candidate said that his party was set to take over the state with the calibre of the candidates presented for various offices and the quality of those that decamped from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party.

General Babagida commended the doggedness of Buhari and his sacrifice to salvage Nigeria, which he said would not be lost.

He commended the party for nominating General Buhari, as their presidential candidate in 2015 elections.
