FIFA_World_RankingsFootball governing body FIFA released its monthly world rankings. The list for the month of November was released earlier today and Nigeria’s Super Eagles have neither risen nor moved down the ranking table , but remained number 42, which they were last month.

In the month under review, the Eagles failed to make it to the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations taking place in Equatorial Guinea in January after the players were held to a 2-2 draw by  South Africa in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

Bafana Bafana of South Africa and Congo, however, moved up six and three positions as they are now on 51 and 59 in the world respectively. Algeria retain their number one position in Africa, but went down three places to 18 in the world. Tunisia second (22), Ivory Coast third (24), Senegal fourth (35), Ghana fifth (38),  Guinea sixth (38), Cape Verde Islands seventh (39) and Cameroon eighth (41) behind Nigeria ninth in Africa.

The November edition of the FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking reveals very little change in the top ten, with the top seven positions unaltered from last month and world champions Germany still out in front ahead of Argentina and Colombia. France, however, are now in joint seventh place together with Portugal (7th, up 2). In the top 20, England (13th, up 7), Romania (15th, up 6) and Czech Republic (17th, up 5) have all made good progress.
