Mario Balotelli finally got off the mark for Liverpool in the EPL as he poked in a late winner against Spurs at Anfield on Tuesday night.
Balotelli joined Liverpool for £16m at the start of the season and it took the famously enigmatic Italian striker 13 league games and six months of his Liverpool career to register his first league goal
In the 83rd minute, the striker got on the end of Adam Lallana’s cross to score the winner in an entertaining five-goal thriller.
Liverpool had taken the lead through Lazar Markovic in the 15th minute, but Spurs in-form midfielder, Harry Kane restored parity in the 26th minute. Gerrard put Liverpool back in front with a well taken penalty in the 53rd minute only for Musa Dembele to equalize eight minutes later with his first goal of the season.
The result takes Liverpool to 7th on the table, one point behind Spurs.
