The Plateau State Governor, Mr. Jonah Jang, has appointed his son, Yakubu, as the state Commissioner for Lands and Urban Planning.
Yakubu Jang was previously his father’s Special Adviser on Special Duties and takes over the new position from former occupant, Yilji Gomwalk.
Gomwalk vacated the office due to his nomination as the running mate of Gyang Pwajok, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for the 2015 elections.
Mohammed Abubakar, the state Commissioner for Information, announced the changes yesterday during a press briefing.
