INEC Extends Collection Of PVCs To March 8

The Independent National Electoral Commission, on Monday said it has extended has extended the deadline for collection of Permanent Voter Cards by registered voters.

Secretary to the Commission, Augusta Ogakwu who disclosed this said registered voters will have the opportunity of collecting their cards till March 8.

According to her, “The Commission hopes that this extension will finally avail every registered person yet to collect his/her PVC the opportunity to do so in readiness for the general elections.”

More than 68 million Nigerians registered for the elections but about 45 million valid voters have collected their cards.

As of last Monday, 45,098,876 cards, representing 66.7 per cent collection rate, had been distributed by INEC.
