PRESIDENTIAL ADDRESS: Will Dialogue Work?

President Goodluck Jonathan in his Independence Day national broadcast reiterated the belief of his administration in dialogue and demonstrated his readiness to reason together with aggrieved factions, sect and tribes; in order to resolve the prevailing national crisis and channel a way forward for Brand Nigeria’s greatness. He thus disclosed that his administration has set up an advisory committee saddled with the responsibility of putting in place the modalities for a National Dialogue.
The committee according to the president will be chaired by Dr. Femi Okurounmu, a former Senator, while Dr. Akilu Indabawa will serve as Secretary. The committee is expected to submit its report in four weeks’ time.
