B33-Sola-David-BorhaNotable Nigerian financial brand, Stanbic IBTC Holdings, has stated its reasons for attracting foreign investors saying it is a move aimed at moving the country forward. Chief Executive Officer of the bank,   Mrs Sola David-Borha, who stated this at a news conference heralding the bank’s annual investors’ conference, said investors do rely on the bank’s expertise in the Nigerian space to do business in the country hence the need to bring them to meet face to face with Nigerian business that requires their investable funds.

“Our global parentage gives access to investors who want to invest here; by mediating between them and businesses here we are moving Nigeria forward and also moving the investors forward.”

David-Borha also allayed the fear of investors leaving the country ahead of the 2015 general elections. “The kind of investors that we attract to the country understands the Nigerian economy more than those raising the false alarm. They said so in 2011 and the investors did not leave the country. Most foreign investors understand the economy of Nigerian and its huge potentials,” she said.
