Reports have it that the speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Aminu Tambuwal has withdrawn from the presidential race and will soon declare his intention to contest for the Sokoto State governorship post on the platform of the All Progressives Congress.
Earlier reported was that some members of the House purchased the APC presidential nomination form for Tambuwal, urging him to go for the highest office in the land.
According to LEADERSHIP Newspaper, Tambuwal has opted out from this offer and will now contest for the state’s governorship instead.
It was also gathered that necessary plans have been put in place to enable Tambuwal declare for the Sokoto State governorship seat anytime soon.
